Obituary
Longtime East Longmeadow resident Donald Bremner, 98, died peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2020. Born in Springfield to the late Alexander and Catherine (Gunn) Bremner, he was a graduate of Commerce High School and served his country proudly in the Coast Guard during WWII. He was a Sales Representative for AO Smith Manufacturing for 23 years. Don was a member of East Longmeadow Congregational Church and a 27-year member and past president of the East Longmeadow Lions Club. A charter member of the East Longmeadow Recreation Committee, he also served on the East Longmeadow School Committee and the Republican Town Committee. Don moved to Wilbraham in 2008.   He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 76 years, Ina (Nelson) Bremner, son Donald Bremner of AZ and daughter Christine Ryan and her husband Dennis of Palmer, grandchildren Katie Ryan Lynch and Derek Ryan, great grandchildren Kendall and Charlotte Lynch and Lukas and Jakob Ryan as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 12 Noon at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Longmeadow Lions Clubs, 25 Greenacre Lane, East Longmeadow, MA 01028.
