Obituary
Diane Marie (Donah) Branconnier, 81, formerly of Hampden, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at JGS Lifecare, Longmeadow. Born on June 24, 1941 in Plattsburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lyman Arthur and Mary Rose (Leonard) Donah. She was a 1960 graduate of Trade High School in Springfield as a Hairdresser and continued until she started raising her beloved children. She married the love of her life Robert Herman Branconnier on September 3, 1960. She worked in the central credit office for the Albert Steiger, Inc. department stores in Springfield for 17 years and for BVH Engineers, Inc. in West Hartford, CT, where she worked with her husband each day for many years. She then worked for the Longmeadow Adult Daycare Center in Longmeadow for 7 years. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family and walking everyday. Her greatest gift was taking care of others with a beautiful smile. In addition to her parents, Diane was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Bob. Diane is survived by her daughters Lauri Mikkola and her husband Scott of Greenhead, FL, Ann Garbecki and her husband Brian of Hampden; her sons Michael Branconnier and his wife Michelle of North Reading, MA and Mark Branconnier and his wife Jennifer of Wilbraham; (12) grandchildren: John-Michael Mikkola and his wife Raquel, Timothy Mikkola and his fiancé Vivian, Marissa (Garbecki) Hyszczak and her husband Peter, Faith Garbecki-Cerasani and her husband Domenico, Matthew Garbecki, Andrew Branconnier, Ian Branconnier, Nicholas Branconnier and his wife Linda, Noah Branconnier and Neve Branconnier; (2) step-grandchildren: Micah-Ella Estacio and Elijah Estacio; (4) great grandchildren: Finn, Autumn, Adalyn, and Callum, two nephews: Gerald L. Donah and Christopher Donah and her dear extended family and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Gerald A. Donah and her granddaughter Arianna Garbecki. We would like to offer a heartfelt Thank You to all the staff at the Jewish Lifecare Nursing Home and Spectrum Hospice for everything they have done. CALLING HOURS FOR DIANE WILL BE THURSDAY (OCTOBER 6th) FROM 4-7 PM AT THE WILBRAHAM FUNERAL HOME, 2551 BOSTON ROAD IN WILBRAHAM, MA. The funeral service will be Friday at 11AM at the Wilbraham Funeral Home. The Family will receive visitors on Friday from 10-11AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Diane’s memory to the Spectrum Hospice Home Care and JGS Lifecare, 770 Converse Street, Longmeadow, MA 01106.
