Deborah A. Rugani, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 15, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center after her courageous battle against cancer. Deborah was born in Quincy, MA on March 4, 1955. She was the oldest daughter of the late James and Mary (Rush) Fitzpatrick.
Deborah was raised in Longmeadow, MA and later moved to Hampden, MA where she raised her family. Debbie worked as a dental assistant for 30 years and was an extraordinary woman. She was an avid reader, loved spending time in the pool with her kids, and enjoyed planting flowers, crafting and baking. Debbie was known for all her requested cookie creations. She loved to go on vacation and travel the world. She also cherished many memories of the summers growing up at Brant Rock.
To cherish her memory, Debbie leaves her loving husband of 44 years, Brian; her children Evan and his wife Marlee of Hampden, her son Anthony of Hampden and her daughter Aubrey and her fiancé Dan of Palmer; her grandchildren Geanna, Sam, Stella and Wynonna; her great granddaughter, Vivian, her sister Lynn and her husband John of Hampden and her brother, James and his wife Lisa of Easthampton. Debbie was pre-deceased by her sister, Gail and her husband Frank of East Longmeadow.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 for calling hours from 9:00am-10:30am at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield. The family would like to thank all the nurses and caregivers of the Oncology Department at Baystate Medical Center.
