Obituary
David D. Sunter passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, after suffering declining health for a number of years. He was born 2/16/68 to the late Edward P. Sunter., Sr. and Shelia A. (Matthews) Sunter in Springfield, MA . He grew up in East Longmeadow, MA attending the town school system and earning his GED in 1985. He played junior hockey in East Longmeadow for a number of years, enjoying the competition and comradery. He was a certified autobody specialist and had a fine reputation among the local autobody shops as a good detail man. He enjoyed muscle cars, riding motorcycles, snowmobiles and enjoyed being with friends, going to the beach, attending concerts and listening to rock-n-roll music. In addition to his parents, David was also predeceased by his brother Matthew W. Sunter and his nephew Bryan A. Sunter. He is survived by his brothers Edward Sunter, Jr. and his wife Robin and Stephen Sunter, his sister-in-law Michelle Maynard, nephews; Brendan and Brady Sunter and niece Lara Sunter. The past few years were difficult for David but he is at peace now. His Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:30 AM at St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow, MA 01028. The burial will be held privately at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
