David H. Silva, age 98, passed away on November 6, 2024, at The Reserve, East Longmeadow, MA. Born in Glens Falls, NY to the late Frederick and Johanna (Lehning) Silva, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and earned a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Denver. Dave owned and operated Triple S Construction Company of Wilbraham with his sons for many years. A resident of Wilbraham for more than 50 years, he was a communicant of Christ the King-Epiphany Church. Dave is predeceased by his wife Marilyn Ruth (Abry) in 2008 and daughter Susan Silva Skinner of Statesville, NC in 2020. He leaves two sons; Thomas Silva and his partner Barb Lavoie, both of Wilbraham and Matthew Silva of Springfield; 5 daughters; Kathleen and her husband Elroy Grandy of Wyandotte, MI; Carol Armitage of Palmer; Johanna and her husband John Madden of Durango, Co; Paula Silva MacNiece of Yarmouth Port, and Nancy and her husband Scott Wagner of Graniteville, VT, 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and he leaves several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on December 6, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. A Memorial Service will be held on December 7, 2024, at 11:00 am at Christ the King-Epiphany Church, Wilbraham. Burial will follow at Woodland Dell Cemetery, 16 Woodland Dell Rd. Wilbraham.
