David J. Pluta

David J. Pluta, 67, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at home. A lifelong Springfield resident, David was a graduate of Cathedral High School, received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and a Master’s Degree from Springfield College. He worked for Hasbro as a Senior Systems Analyst for 20 years then as a Disability Examiner for the State of CT for 17 years until his retirement. David and his mother were loving owners of Pembroke Welsh Corgis. He was predeceased by his parents; Edward Pluta and Elaine (Morrison) Pluta and his sister Gerri Glynn. David’s Graveside Service will be held on Monday May 12th at 1:30PM at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104 or to Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Shelter, 627 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104.
