Obituary
Darell Lee Mitchell, 73, died peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2018 at home, with his family by his side. Born in Troy, OH to the late Franklin and Mamie (Chatman) Mitchell, he served proudly in the US Air Force. He owned and operated K and M Electronics in West Springfield with his longtime business partner Jim Knak. Darell was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife Anne (Hope) Mitchell, five children; Daryl Peck, Dina Graziano and her husband Mark, Frank Mitchell and his wife Suzana Carlos, Kathryn Girard and her husband Christopher and Allan Mitchell and his wife Maeghan, brothers Richard and Thomas Mitchell and his sister Susan Lystrup. He was also “Bumpa” to his ten grandchildren; Tyler, Jaime, Maria, Joey, Frankie, Lily, Norah, Logan, Lilah and Eleanor. In addition, he leaves extended family members; Jo Tremblay, Caroline Schwab and Marcia Long. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and Friends may meet for Darell’s Funeral Service with Military Honors on Tuesday at 9 am at MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilbraham Fire Dept., 2770 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, MA 01095 or to Beacon Hospice, 815 Worcester St., Springfield, MA 01151.
