Obituary
Lifelong Springfield resident Daniel Joseph Joubert, 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, he was the son of Richard Henry Joubert and the late Barbara (Hickey) Smith-Chaffee. Daniel was a lifelong entrepreneur and enjoyed reading, writing and was an art enthusiast. Dan loved fishing, hiking, working on and collecting cars. In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughter Jessica Ayers (David) of East Longmeadow, brothers; Richard Joubert (Kathy Fortin) of Springfield, Vincent Joubert, Sr. (Denise) of Agawam, sister Deborah Spaulding (Edward Bushey) of Springfield, three grandsons; Mason, Alexander and Maxwell. He also leaves nephews; Vincent Joubert, Jr., Travis and Zackary Joubert, whom he raised as his own children, Adam and Nick Joubert and Jamie Spaulding, nieces; Christine Murdock and Laura and Sheri Spaulding. Daniel’s Funeral Service will be Friday, May 21st at 11:00 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. An hour of visitation will precede the Service from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, West Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101-6307.
