Obituary
Daniel V. Fitzgibbon, 82, passed away Tuesday at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, January 19, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Edna (Terrian) FitzGibbon, Sr. He worked as a truck driver for various companies for many years including Railway Express and Sweeney Transportation, retiring in 1998. His favorite activities were walking the beach, working in the yard, traveling and roaming through flea markets and antique shops. He leaves his beloved wife, Barbara (Yerkes) FitzGibbon, his son, Kenneth (Kathy) of Springfield, his sister, Linda FitzGibbon of Chicopee, grandchildren, Cory (Miranda) of Springfield and Angelica LeFleur (Andrew) of Palmer, his stepchildren, William Burrage (Melissa) of Springfield, Amy Schack (Tom) of Enfield and David Burrage (Laurie) of Beverly and was predeceased by his son Sean and his brother John, Jr. Calling hours will be held Monday 4-7 at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. A Private Graveside Service will be held Tuesday at 11am in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Turners Falls. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
