Christine M. Bakes

Christine M. Bakes, 83, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Fabian) Goraj. She worked in the Human Resources Department at the Hampden County Sheriff’s Office for many years until her retirement. Christine is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years William Bakes, their son William Bakes and his wife Claudia Bakes of Belchertown, brother Thomas Goraj and his wife Dolores of Indian Orchard and their son Mark Goraj, daughter Olivia and his wife Missy and sister Cynthia Patten and her husband Phil of Wilbraham and their children; Kaitlyn, Jennifer and Kevin Patten and 2 cherished grandchildren; Eileen and Hunter. Christine’s Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 11:30 AM in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield. Wilbraham Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
