Christine Ferioli Archambault, 70, departed this world on January 13, 2023 after a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Chris was born on September 22, 1952, in Springfield, Massachusetts to Louis and Jacqueline Ferioli. Growing up in the Sixteen Acres section of Springfield she graduated from Classical High School in 1970. She received her Associates degree from Emmanuel College in Boston, her Bachelor’s degree from College of Our Lady of the Elms in Chicopee and her Masters of Library Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University. While working behind the circulation desk at the Holyoke Community College library, she met her husband, Ronald Archambault. She later became a law librarian at Western New England College, where she worked for 25 years, attaining the position of Head of Technical Services of the law library. Chris and Ron lovingly raised two children, Barry and Lauren, while living in Westfield. As a family they enjoyed travelling the country, often after national law library conventions, to places like Washington, D.C., San Francisco, and the American Southwest. Boston and Cape Cod were also family favorites. She enjoyed watching her children play sports from the bleachers or sidelines. You could usually find Chris admiring her hydrangeas, seasonal flowers in her whiskey barrel and various gardens at her home in Westfield and later Hampden. Her favorites were the dark pink peonies in her front yard, where she enjoyed taking first day of school pictures of her children. She was an avid reader, loved all things Yankee Candle and enjoyed attending the Brimfield Antique Flea Market, where she scoured for hidden treasures to decorate her home. Visitors would comment that her home looked like a page from County Living magazine. Later in life, Chris enjoyed day trips with Ron to the Connecticut beaches, family summer cookouts with her famous tortellini salad and watching movies and HGTV together. In recent years, she loved hearing and watching the antics of her two adored grandsons, Evan and Dylan during their visits, FaceTime sessions, and through her cherished photographs of them. Christine is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Ronald; son Barry (Laura) of Downingtown, Pennsylvania; daughter Lauren of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and two grandsons, Evan and Dylan; Mother Jacqueline of Springfield, Massachusetts; siblings David (Linda) of West Springfield, MA, and Daniel (Amy) of Springfield, MA; and many members of her extended family. She was predeceased by her father Louis, on the second anniversary of his passing. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 22 from 5-7PM at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Christine’s Funeral will be Monday, January 23 at 9:30 from the Wilbraham Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at St. Cecilia’s Church at 11AM with burial to follow in the Mass.
