Obituary
Chet E. Kapinos, 73, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022. He was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Golemo) Kapinos. Chet leaves his wife of 49 years, Claudia (Grondalski) Kapinos, his daughter Corrie Marino and her husband Peter of Westborough and son Robb Kapinos and his partner Tiffany Raines of Belchertown. He was the loving “Dziadz” to his grandchildren who were the sparkle in his eyes, Joseph and Teddy Marino and Madison Kapinos. He also leaves behind his sister, Helen Padegenis and his father-in-law, Chet Grondalski. He was also blessed with many cousins and friends who he loved for the good times we all shared. Family time was cherished and our days spent in Oqunquit, ME will be memories we hold in out hearts. Chet was a 1967 graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School. He was an IAABO basketball referee and an MBUA baseball umpire for many years and coached Hampden sports. He retired several years ago from his company, Chet and Son Painting.

A Memorial Service will be held SATURDAY 11 Am in Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Indian Orchard. Burial will be private and in the springtime. Calling Hours will be held FRIDAY from 4 to 6 PM at the Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, MA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Chet’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Indian Orchard, MA 01151
