Obituary
Cecile B. Henrye, 69, of Wilbraham died on December 18, 2019 following a brief illness. Born in Holyoke, she was a lifelong resident of the Springfield area. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Cecile (Nadeau) Henrye. She is survived by a sister, Suzanne C. Lagacy (Ed) of Monson, a nephew Michael Cote and her dear friends Margot Johnson and Janice Muldrew, also of Monson. Cecile was a sensitive and gentle soul. She treasured memories of her childhood and family: her growing up in the north end of Springfield, camping trips in New Hampshire, happy summers spent at a family cabin on the Connecticut River. She was a lover of the beauty of nature, and was an avid walker and hiker, her favorite destination being the Quabbin Reservoir. She loved her cats, art, dancing, music, Johnny Depp and cute, quirky decor. A woman of deep faith, she prayed earnestly for those she loved. She was caring and thoughtful, a good listener, a devoted friend. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 22 Green St., Monson. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
