Obituary
Carol Jane Hewitt, 91, died peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Care One at Redstone. Born in Bangor, ME to the late Albert and Mary (Tracey) Spinney, she was a 1948 graduate of Technical High School in Springfield and graduated from Bay Path College in 1951. Carol worked for CIGNA Life Insurance Co. in Springfield and East Hartford, CT for 36 years until her retirement. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frederick P. Hewitt in 1983. She will be sadly missed by her cousins Jeff Duperre and his wife Kim of Wilbraham and Kevin Duperre and his wife Kristin of Pembroke, MA. Carol’s Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 16th at 10:00 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. An hour of visitation will precede the Service from 9 – 10 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
