Obituary
Carol (Rogers) Driscoll, 51, died on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Hartford Hospital following a tragic scuba diving incident in Connecticut. She was born in Atlanta, GA but spent most of her childhood in Summit, NJ.  Carol graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.  She earned a degree from Springfield Technical Community College as a Registered Nurse in 1999.

Carol was a devoted mother and nurse. She was kindhearted, full of life and was the first to offer help to anyone who needed it. She was a loyal sports mom and was regularly seen cheering on her children at any sporting event they participated in. A lover of animals and the outdoors she especially enjoyed hiking and climbed to the top of the highest peaks in each New England state last summer. She was happiest when surrounded by friends and family and her laughter was contagious.

Her career as a registered nurse lead her to Springfield Central High School where she worked as a School Nurse for the past 10 years.  She was a faithful communicant of St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow. Carol is survived by her parents Jack and Sue Rogers, four beloved children: Conor, Carrick and fiancé Bridget Ponte, Carly and Kellen Driscoll, sister Jane Grewcock, brothers David and Peter Rogers, numerous nieces and nephews and her recent partner Rick Sickler. Visitation will be held on Thursday 9/27 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. MA. Family and friends may meet for Carol’s Funeral Mass on Friday 9/28 at 11:30 am at St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow, MA. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central High School Health Center, 1840 Roosevelt Ave., Springfield, MA 01109 or the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Center, 627 Cottage St., Springfield, MA 01104.
