Obituary
Beverly A. (Mee) Sullivan, 86, died peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021. She was born in Springfield, the daughter of Theresa A. Mee , Walter Mee and step-father Joseph Nascembeni. Beverly grew up in the South End of Springfield, graduating from Commerce High School in 1953. She is the oldest of seven children. She married William Sullivan in 1957. She attended Nursing School and began a career in healthcare, had two adoring children and pivoted to a career in Real Estate and Antiques to devote more time to her family. Beverly fostered a passion for antiques that blossomed into a successful retail entrepreneurship and ran the Antique Center of Sturbridge until she retired in February 2020. She won numerous awards during her career in Real Estate including a trip to Rome, Italy. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, William Sullivan, brother David Mee and wife Pat, brother Walter Mee, sister Sandra Vanotti, brother Robert Mee, was predeceased by her 2 sisters, Lorraine Vasquez, and Delia Sypek, two children: Teresa Sullivan, Brian Sullivan and partner Nicole Domnarski and four grandchildren: Brittain Sullivan, husband Matthew Finkle, Alexander Sullivan, Sean Sullivan, wife Alexis and Patrick Sullivan who remember her for her generosity warmth and kindness and will dearly miss her. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Beverly’s home caregivers Cindy, husband Dennis, JoAnne, Linda, Shelli and Ann were cherished by Beverly and appreciated for their attentiveness and care. Dr. Liu and Dr. Chang and the exceptional nurses and aides at Bay State Wing Hospital are appreciated for their effort keeping Beverly comfortable and giving her love and care. Family and friends are invited to meet for visiting hours at The Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, MA, on Friday, October 1st at 11 am followed by a service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd, Springfield, MA 01129. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn. of MA, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
