Obituary
Betty (Riozzi) Wood, age 81, died peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2022 in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Born in New London, Connecticut, to the late Michael and Jane (Syracuse) Riozzi, she was a Registered Nurse. She graduated New London High School and Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing.
Betty was active in the New London area American Cancer Society, organizing the annual gala fund raising for many years. She co-owned and operated the Three Blind Mice gift shop in Waterford and Niantic for many years. Her main activity was co-managing her husband’s construction business.
Betty will be sadly missed by her husband Norman Wood, her daughter Kymberly O’Brien and her husband Timothy of Wilbraham, two cherished grandchildren: Colin and Sarah O’Brien of Wilbraham, and her brother Michael Riozzi of Palm Springs, California. Betty’s Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham is in charge of the arrangements.
