Benedict J. Jurkowski

Benedict John Jurkowski, 77, of Wilbraham passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Benedict was born in Springfield to the late Benedict and Katherine (Rooney) Jurkowski. A graduate of Cathedral High School, he then went on to become a steamfitter and a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters� Union Local 104. He lived in Wilbraham, on the Cape and in Connecticut until he was finally able to settle on the Cape, his favorite place to be. He leaves his daughter Katherine of Wilbraham, his son Brian and his wife Phyllis of Springfield, two grandsons, Samuel and Nathan of Springfield and his brother Brian and his wife Liz of Longmeadow. He was predeceased by his daughter Christine in 1963. The family would like to thank the staff at Wingate of Wilbraham for the wonderful care he was given there. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10th from 10:00 am � 12:00 pm concluding with a Prayer Service at 12 Noon at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one�s choice.
