Barbara E. (Howard) Lapierre

Barbara E. (Howard) LaPierre, 86, died on Friday, November 28, 2014. Daughter of the late William F. and Anna E. (Patterson) Howard, Barbara is survived by her sister Anna M. (Howard) McKeon of Wilbraham and her brother Edward J. Howard of Malone, NY. She is also survived by a son, Jesse C. LaPierre and three grandsons, Colin LaPierre, Stephen LaPierre and Dominick Smith. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Ernest L. LaPierre and her two beloved sons, Roger Allen LaPierre and Stephen Paul LaPierre. She was also predeceased by sister, Davina Moynihan and two brothers, William F. Howard, Jr. and Frederick J. Fellion and a niece, Audrey M. Fellion. Barbara is cherished as Auntie Barb by two loving nieces, Kathryn A. Delea, Lisa A. Howard and eight loving nephews, James F. McKeon, Jr., Michael McKeon, Kevin P. McKeon, Duane Howard, William F. Howard III, Sean Howard, Frederick J. Fellion, Jr., and Mark D. Fellion. In addition to beloved family members, Barbara also leaves several close friends who stood by her always in life's challenges and happiness and they forever treasure her memory. Barbara graduated from Springfield Schools and had a successful career as a bookkeeper before forming her own medical billing business in the 1960s, operating from her Wilbraham home office for more than 35 years before retiring at age 80. Barbara was a member of St. Cecilia's Church and a member of the Springfield Chapter of The Compassionate Friends. Family and friends may meet for Barbara�s Funeral Mass on Friday, Dec. 5th at 10:00 am at St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will follow in St. Michael�s Cemetery, Springfield. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
