Obituary
Barbara Ann (Dambrauskas) Fitzgerald, 69, died peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2020, at Baystate Medical Center. A longtime Wilbraham resident, she was born in Piscataway, NJ to the late Albert and Helen (Sitar) Dambrauskas. She was a graduate of Middlesex Community College and worked as a Registered Nurse at Western Mass Hospital for 23 years, spending her life caring for others. Barbara will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 48 years Robert J. Fitzgerald, their three children: Brian Fitzgerald and his wife Monica of Agawam, Colleen Gorsky and her husband Brad of New York and Beth Storey and her husband Matthew of Suffield, CT and six cherished grandchildren: Ava, Megan, Louisa, Juliet, Heidi, and Zachary. She had a love of antiquing, spoiling her grandkids, and her dog, Jubilee.
Barbara’s Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 14th at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. An hour of visitation will precede the Mass from 9:00-10:00 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Cecilia Parish HOPE Ministry, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham, MA 01095.
