Obituary
Barbara retired from her career as a telephone operator while living in Springfield, MA, after which she spent several years vacationing around the world with her husband, William A Daley Jr., until his passing in 2012. Barbara soon moved to Bedford, NH to be close to her son, his wife and children for her remaining years, where she was loved and cared for until she passed on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the age of 87. Barbara loved arts and crafts during her free time, cherished her dogs, and consistently donated to charities. She was a hard-working mother who made many sacrifices for her family. All who knew Barbara thought of her as among the most pleasant and caring of people, and she will be sorely missed. She joins her brother, Kenneth Hofford, and daughter, Kathryn Daley, in Heaven, and leaves behind her sons Kenneth Daley and Stephen Daley, her brother Richard Hofford, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 16th from 4 to 7pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Barbara’s Funeral Service on Wednesday at 10:30am at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 45 Buckingham St., Springfield. A private family burial will take place at MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, friends and family may donate in Barbara’s name to their local animal shelter.
