Barbara P. (Burke) Arborio

Barbara P. (Burke) Stewart Arborio, 84, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Born in Springfield to the late John and Helen (Scanlon) Burke, she was a longtime East Longmeadow resident. A Licensed Practical Nurse, Barbara worked for many years as a medical Secretary for Drs. Pace and Chabot of Springfield, and was a communicant of St. Michael�s Church. Barbara was predeceased by her first husband John E. �Red� Stewart in 1956. She will be sadly missed by her husband Louis F. Arborio of East Longmeadow and her two loving daughters Patricia S. Brent and her husband, Duffy, of Sudbury, MA and Kathy E. Stewart of Springfield. Barbara was also predeceased by her sister M. Virginia Sloan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Barbara�s Funeral Mass will be Monday, June 15th at 10:00 am at St. Michael�s Church, 128 Maple St., East Longmeadow. Burial will follow in St. Michael�s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, 103 Vision Way, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
