Arthur A. LaRiviere, Sr., 95, died peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Born in Springfield, to the late Albert and Rose (Plouffe) LaRiviere, he lived most of his life in Wilbraham. A proud Army Veteran of World War II, he worked as a millwright at Monsanto for 42 years until his retirement. He was a longtime member of the Monsanto Union and served as an officer for many years. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia�s Church in Wilbraham and a member of the Oak St. American Legion and the VFW. Arthur was predeceased by his first wife Anita (James) LaRiviere and his second wife Helen (Bigelow) LaRiviere. He leaves six children; Arthur Jr., Richard C. and Albert C. LaRiviere, Nancy Havard, Suzanne Blaser and Mary Dill, 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Arthur was also predeceased by his son Robert A. LaRiviere in 2012. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th from 4-7pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd, Wilbraham. Funeral Tuesday at 9am from Wilbraham Funeral Home followed by Mass at 10am at St. Cecilia�s Church. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Springfield.
