Antonio �Tony� Garceau, 94, of Boston Road passed away Wednesday at The Life Care Center of Wilbraham. He was born in Woonsocket, RI on August 2nd, 1920 to the late Henry Garceau and Sophie (LaRochelle) Garceau. He was brought up in Rhode Island, but lived most of his life in Wilbraham. He worked as a Train Engineer for Conrail and, after his retirement, worked as a limousine driver for Century limousines in Wilbraham. Tony was an active communicant of St. Cecilia�s Church in Wilbraham and was a proud 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. For years Tony served as a group leader and was instrumental in the recruitment of countless new Knights at St. Cecilia�s. He was a WW II U.S. Army Veteran and served at the Panama Canal. Tony enjoyed his yard and took great pride in his floral and vegetable gardens. He was predeceased by his loving wife Theresa V. (Lebel) Garceau in 2007. He was the beloved father of Janice and Donald Garceau and his wife Kathleen, all of Wilbraham. He was a devoted grandfather of Traci Garceau, Jodi Woodbury and her husband Peter, and Timothy Garceau and his wife Bridget, and cherished great grandfather of Matthew and Julia Romano, Jack and Isabella Woodbury, and Eleanor and Eran Garceau. There will be a Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Cecilia Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham. There will be a calling hour at the church prior to the Mass from 10:00 AM � 11:00 AM. Directly after Mass there will be a 4th Degree Service of the Knights of Columbus in the rotunda of St. Cecilia Church. There will be a private burial at a later date at the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Wilbraham Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations in Tony�s memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA.
