Obituary
Antoinette B. (Commisso) Surrette, 81, died peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Toronto, Canada to the late Frank and Anne (Perri) Commisso, she was a longtime East Longmeadow resident. A graduate of Commerce High School, she worked as an office administrator and Bookkeeper for Nicora’s Auto Supply. An avid golfer, she was an active member of Wyckoff Country Club for over 40 years. She also loved gardening and enjoyed her winter home in Venice, FL. Antoinette will be missed by her life partner of 53 years, Augustino “Gus” Nicora, her two sons; John Surrette of Las Vegas, NV and Michael Surrette and his wife Jodi of East Longmeadow, siblings; Rita, Angelo, and Carmel and four cherished granddaughters; Samantha, Julianne, Madison and Alexandra. In addition to her parents, Antoinette was also predeceased by her siblings Mary and James. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at 11:30 AM at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 1601 State St., Springfield. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held immediately following the Service. Wilbraham Funeral Home oversees the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Antoinette’s name to Compassus Hospice of Northampton, 243 King St., Suite 239, Northampton, MA 01060.
