Anna M. Lis, 92, peacefully entered into eternal life on January 1, 2015 at the Tersian House, Albany, NY. She was born in Wilbraham to the late Mary (Koryczka) and Frank Szczygiel. Anna was married to the late Stanley J. Lis, who predeceased her in 2009. Anna lived most of her life in Three Rivers, before moving to New York in 2008 to be closer to her children. Anna and her husband owned and operated the former Lis' Cafe in Three Rivers until their retirement in 1983. Anna was a long-time member of St.Peter and Paul Church. She loved baking and making desserts. Anna cherished her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Dr. Stanley Lis and his wife Mary Hutton of Rexford,NY; Karla Wing and her husband Rod of Schodack,NY; her beloved grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Marissa and Kiersten. Anna was predeceased by her brother Walter Szczygiel. She is survived by her sister Wanda Bourgeois and nieces, nephew and great-nieces and nephew. There will be a graveside service for Anna on Wednesday, January 7, at 1PM at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, 421 Tinkham Rd., Springfield. The family would like to thank the staff at the Carmel Gardens at Teresian House for their loving, compassionate and dedicated care, especially nurse Ohsay.
