Anita E. (Cote) D�Amours, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield to the late Arthur and Anna (Chouinard) Cote, she was a longtime Hampden resident. She worked as a secretary for American Bosch and then Thornton Burgess Middle School for 26 years until her retirement in 1994. A graduate of Cathedral High School, she was a communicant of St. Mary�s Church in Hampden. An accomplished seamstress and quilter, the biggest love of her life was her family. Anita was predeceased by her husband George H. D�Amours in 2013. She will be sadly missed by her two sons; Michael J. D�Amours and his companion Judy Brodowski of Westfield and David H. D�Amours and his wife Amy of Belchertown, her daughter Linda M. Potito and her husband Thomas of Wilbraham, two sisters; Antoinette DeRoy of Holyoke and Irene Knowlton and her husband Edward of Hatfield and seven cherished grandchildren; Daniel, James, Christina, Katherine, Steven, Anthony and Nicole and two great grandchildren; Hunter and Cameron. In addition to her husband, Anita was also predeceased by her son Richard S. D�Amours in 1966 and her brother Richard Cote. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31st from 4:00 � 7:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Funeral will be Saturday at 9:00am from Wilbraham Funeral Home followed by Anita�s Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary�s Church, 27 Somers Rd., Hampden.
