Alexina M. (Lavalley) Tousignant

Alexina M. (LaValley) Tousignant, 92, died peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born in Springfield to the late Leo and Genevieve (Blair) LaValley, she graduated from Commerce High School and moved to Wilbraham in 1950. She was a resident at Orchard Valley for 11 years where she made many good friends. A faithful communicant of St. Cecilia�s Church, she enjoyed board games, bowling and long walks. She was well known for her sweet, contagious laugh. Alexina was predeceased by her son Michael in 1967 and her husband Roland Tousignant in 2006. She will be sadly missed by her sons John of Wilbraham, Richard of Warren, Thomas of Sarasota, FL and Peter of Enfield, CT, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28th from 5-8pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Funeral will be Thursday, December 29th at 11am from Wilbraham Funeral Home to a Funeral Mass at 12Noon at St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham. Burial will follow at 2pm in MA Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Cecilia�s Church, 42 Main St., Wilbraham, MA 01095.
