Obituary
Albert Leo Ouimet, 94, died peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield to the late Arthur and Rose (LaBelle) Ouimet, he was a Navy Veteran who served proudly in the South Pacific during WWII. He retired as a Supervisor from Combustion Engineering. Al was very active at the Hampden Senior Center and served as their Treasurer for many years. He delivered Meals on Wheels and learned to prepare taxes and prepared them for many seniors in town and he was a master gardener. Al is survived by his beloved wife Shirley (Morse) Ouimet and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Alfred and Arthur Ouimet. Family and friends may meet for Al’s Funeral Service with Military Honors on Wednesday, October 10th at 10:00 am at MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101-6307.
