Adamo Berardi

Adamo Berardi, born on February 13, 1953, passed away at the age of 71 years, peacefully in his Springfield home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Born in Guglionesi, Italy, to the late Giovanni and Irene (Strippa) Berardi, Adamo immigrated to Springfield in 1970 with his parents and two of his four siblings. Soon after arriving, he began his 46-year career at Carando Foods (Farmland/Smithfield), where he worked diligently in roles including working foreman and supervisor. Known for his dedication, honesty, and hard work, Adamo left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.
In 1974, Adamo met Diane (DeSellier), the love of his life. They married in 1976 and moved into their cherished home in Pine Point, where they built a life filled with love and family. Adamo spent his days enjoying time with his family, cooking delicious meals, working in the yard, showing his sons how to fix just about anything, and searching for the best deals—on everything.
Adamo was predeceased by his parents, his sister Carmella Berardi, and his brother Giuseppe Berardi. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 48 years; his sons, Adamo Berardi and his wife, Holly of Springfield; Nicholas Berardi and his husband, David Levinson of Falmouth; and his beloved grandchildren, Adamo and Noah Berardi. He is also survived by his siblings Rosina Berardi of Guglionesi, and Antonio Berardi, E. Longmeadow, 18 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Adamo’s warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorial Visitation will be on Friday, December 6, from 9:30 – 11:30 AM at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, followed by an 11:30 AM Prayer Service.
