Abdelhamid S. Morsi

Longtime Wilbraham resident Abdelhamid Sayed Morsi, age 79, died peacefully on November 13, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Belbeis, Egypt, he was a middle school teacher of math and computer science in the Springfield school system for 15 years until his retirement in 2016.

Abdelhamid graduated from Tulsa Junior College with an Associate degree, University of Massachusetts, with a Bachelor of Science degree, major Mathematics, and a Masters degree from Lesley University with a degree in Computer Technology Education.

Abdelhamid leaves his beloved wife of 45 years Deborah (Haddad) Morsi, their four devoted children; Karima Maloney and her husband Michael of Marblehead, MA, Richard Morsi of Harleysville, PA, Elizabeth Brodeur and her husband Derek of West Roxbury, MA and Robert Morsi of Westwood, MA, and his three cherished grandchildren; Marshall and Norah Maloney and Benjamin Brodeur.

Abdelhamid’s father, Sayed Morsi and mother Hamida El Azizi are deceased. He is survived by his brother Abdelazim Elsayed Morsi of Texas, and sisters, Karima Morsi, Kawsar Morsi and Zainab Morsi all residing in Egypt. His brothers Farouk Morsi and Ahmed Nowal Morsi and sister Andrea Morsi are deceased.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 18,2023 at 12:00 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Visitation will precede the Service from 10:00 am to 12:00pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Longmeadow Cemetery.
