William John Bickley, III (Jake) left his devastated loved ones who trust that they will someday reunite with him in a far better place. Jake attended public schools in Wilbraham, graduating from Minnechaug Regional High School where he participated and captained in football and Iacrosse, winning several championship titles. Jake also graduated from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy where he continued playing football and lacrosse. His career path was cut short as he was escalating within the Serta Simmons Corporation in Connecticut where he supervised emergency management, safety and shipping operations and was also employed at the Springfield Country Club in West Springfield where he fulfilled his passion of bartending.
Jake was a dedicated Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins fan, but also enjoyed playing and watching golf and weight training. He was an amazing, thoughtful and generous soul, an incredible son, brother, husband, grandson, friend and Godfather.
Jake leaves his wife Sarah, his parents Bill and Nancy Bickley, and grandmother Anastacia (Stacy) Bickley, all of Wilbraham, his sister Jillian Bickley, his Uncle Tommy Nehmer and partner Terry Fiorentino, and a multitude of loving cousins and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Jake’s life on Saturday, October 20th at 12 Noon at his parents’ home, 7 Hilltop Drive in Wilbraham. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
