Longtime Wilbraham resident, Thomas Peter Gallini, 85, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Springfield to the late Joseph and Mary Gallini, Tom earned his a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Michael’s College in Winooski, VT and a Master’s Degree from Springfield College. He was a Trust Investment Officer for Fleet and Bank of America for over 25 years. A faithful communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, he volunteered at Baystate Medical Center and Big Brothers and was a member of the Sixteen Acres Lions Club. Tom was predeceased by the love of his life and wife of 59 years Joan (Mongeon) Gallini in 2015. He is survived by his children Michael T. Gallini of Springfield and Carolyn Cardaropoli and her husband Frank of Southwick, four grandchildren: Michael P. Gallini, Sarah Ragonese, Kristen and Joseph Cardaropoli and six great grandchildren: twins Luke and Sophia Ragonese, twins Matthew and Vincent Ragonese and Emily and Andrew Gallini, and soon to be born great granddaughter Genevieve Ragonese who is expected to arrive on November 1st. In addition to his wife, Tom was also predeceased by his daughter Dianne Gallini, brother Edward Gallini and sister Caroline Fontana. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15th from 5 – 7 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Family and friends may meet for Tom’s Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St., Springfield. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
