Theresa M. (Barasha) Visneau, 88, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Michael P. and Anna (Walsh) Barasha, Theresa relocated to Springfield, MA in 1952, and later became a resident of Ludlow. She graduated from West Mahoney Township High School in Shenandoah, PA, McCann’s School of Business in Mahoney City, PA and attended George Washington University in Washington, DC. Known by many as “Terry” or “Tess”, she began her career as a Secretarial Assistant for the US Dept. of Navy in Washington, DC and later was employed for over 23 years by Milton Bradley Company before retiring in 1992. Terry held great pride in her career at Milton Bradley as the first female Human Resources Recruiter and also served as Vice President of EMBECO Credit Union. She was an avid reader and loved to cook for her family. She was predeceased by her husband William F. Visneau, her sister Patricia Henry and her brother Michael Barasha. Affectionately known as “Nanner” by her family, she is survived by her five children; Karen Stack and her husband Jack of Wilbraham, Cheryl Lloyd and her husband Stan of Norfolk, VA, Teri-Eileen Marinello-Mazur and her husband Mick of Ludlow. William M. Visneau of Brimfield and Patrice St. John and her husband David of Southampton. She is also survived by her 14 cherished grandchildren; Kim, Brian and Maura Stack, Richard and Ryan Cubin, Christina Bland, Joseph, Tony and DJ Marinello, William and Laura Visneau, Dominique Bruso, Alec Leavitt and Gabrielle St. John and 17 great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all. A Private Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Wilbraham Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
