It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Paul Anderson announces his passing on December 8, 2018 at age 60. Bob passed away peacefully at Holyoke HealthCare Center. Born in Springfield (Hungry Hill), Bob was predeceased by his parents Wallace and Rose (Malaguti) Anderson. He graduated from Technical High School in 1976 and soon enlisted in US Army. Bob also lived in Chicopee for many years and recently resided in South Hadley. He was a kitchen manager and chef at various restaurants including the ever-popular Blue Eagle Restaurant. He loved cooking for family, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed sports and was a die-hard NY Yankees fan, but loved the NE Patriots too! Bob is survived by his only son, Robert (Bubba) Anderson Jr. of Agawam, his sister Jane Villamaino and her husband Matthew of Wilbraham, his brother John (Jack) Anderson, his former wife Laurajean Anderson of Venice FL, and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be held Friday December 14, 2018 from 4-6 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham. A private burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Agawam will be held at the convenience of the family.
