Marilyn J. (Wilhelmi) Powers, 88, died peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Born in Holyoke, to the late Erwin and Anna (Hoessler) Wilhelmi, she was a longtime Wilbraham resident. A graduate of Technical High School, she was a Manager at Sears at the Eastfield Mall for 27 years. A talented seamstress, she loved all things Winnie the Pooh, going to lunch, and above all, spending time with family. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Roy C. Powers in 2014. She will be sadly missed by her sons Kurt Powers and his wife Marion “Fran” and Mark Powers and his wife Kathleen, brother Fred Wilhelmi, five grandchildren; Erin (Jay), Sara (Marc), Jonathan (Heather), Jodi (Tricia) and Karin (Bridget), five great grandchildren; Ireland, Abigail, David, Michael and Nathan, caring family members Nancy and Jay, Grace and Diane, for all their care and comfort, Sue and Bob for their friendship all these years, and her special dog Parry. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20th from 4-7pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Marilyn’s Funeral Service will be Thursday at 10am at Bethesda Lutheran Church followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
