Dalma Vesentini Mandolini, 78, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday December 15, 2019 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Springfield, MA to Adam and Louise Vesentini, Dalma was a long-time resident of Hampden. Dalma graduated from Westfield State College and worked at JC Penney in the Eastfield Mall managing the catalog, credit and layaway department for 25 years. She enjoyed summer beach trips, cross country skiing, reading, chocolate, knitting, cut throat scrabble games, and cooking delicious meatballs and cookies. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and dear friends, especially her four grandchildren. Dalma is survived by her husband of 57 years, Vincent Mandolini, children Linda Mandolini (Scott Geyer), Sue Jones (Jeff), Laura Wormuth (Jeff), James Mandolini (Stephanie Werner) and the joy of her life, four grandchildren Michael Jones, Brendan Jones, Isidora “ZuZu” Mandolini, and Milo Mandolini, and her life long friend who was like a sister to her, Terry Regina. The family extends the deepest appreciation to the staff of A2 and B2 at Wingate/Vero healthcare of Wilbraham and to all the friends and family who have supported Dalma throughout her life and through her long journey with Parkinson’s. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 20th, 9-10 AM at The Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Road, Wilbraham Massachusetts. A funeral mass will follow at St Mary’s Church, 27 Somers Rd. Hampden, MA at 11:00 AM.
