Violet (Boniewicz) BiskupMay 20, 1923 ~ June 9, 2017 (age 94)
Violet (Boniewicz) Biskup, 94, died peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2017 of natural causes. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Maryan and Helen Boniewicz, she was a longtime Wilbraham resident.
She was a graduate of the High School of Commerce in Springfield and began her early life as a bookkeeper. After she moved to Wilbraham to raise her family, she began her love of gardening and also became an accomplished seamstress.
Violet was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years Teddy J. Biskup in 2008, and her infant son David in 1962. She will be sadly missed by her three children; Kathy of Wilbraham with whom she made her home, Robin of Indian Orchard, and Bill and his husband, Tony Adelman of Glendale, CA. She also leaves her sister Gladys Green of Wilbraham and many nieces and nephews.
The family would especially like to thank Wingate at Hampden, North Unit for their kind care and compassion to both Violet and her family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13th from 5–7 pm at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham. Violet’s funeral will be Wednesday at 11 am at Wilbraham Funeral Home followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
