Madeline Amirault Craft, our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, nana and friend, who gave so much more to all those around her than she ever asked in return, passed away in the embrace of her family on March 20, 2018, after a brief battle with cancer. The daughter of Lionel and Marie (Desbiens) Amirault, Madeline was born on December 18, 1942, in Hartford, Ct., and spent her youth in Manchester, Ct., and in Barton, Vt. She passed her last few months in the care of her loving daughters in Cornelius, N.C., after living in East Longmeadow, Mass., for 31 years. Madeline graduated from Bay Path College in Longmeadow, Mass., in 1963, and married William H. Craft, her loving husband of 54 years, in June 1964. She worked for more than five decades in administrative positions in the legal and business fields. Madeline loved her family, her gardens, her fickle but splendid hummingbirds, Cape Cod, Friendly’s ice cream and Shady Glen cheeseburgers, a good movie, and, most of all, her 11 adored and adoring grandchildren: Ryan, Chlöe, Erin, Lili, Samuel, Jacob, Grace, Tess, Emma, Teddy and Adeline. She is deeply missed by many, most of all her husband, William; her children, Geoffrey Craft and Julie (LaFrance) Craft of Southlake, Texas; Amy (Craft) Reinhart and Daniel Reinhart of Cornelius; Benjamin Craft and Erin (Dolan) Craft of Longmeadow; and Sarah (Craft) Hope and Scott Hope of Cornelius; her sisters, Simone (Amirault) Calhoun of St. Petersburg, Fla., and her husband, Bill; Jeannette (Amirault) Zaglio of Woodbridge, Va.; Lorraine (Amirault) Gallant of San Francisco, Calif., and her husband, Jack; her sister-in-law, Linda Amirault of Connecticut; and many other family and friends. Madeline was predeceased by her brother, Roger Amirault, of Colchester, Ct., in 2011, and her brother-in-law, Edmond Zaglio, of Woodbridge., Va., in 2016. Memorial contributions to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care of Salisbury, N.C., would honor her memory. The Craft family invites family and friends to join a celebration of Madeline's life on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Wilbraham Funeral Home, 2551 Boston Rd., Wilbraham, Mass.; calling hours from 4 pm to 6 pm, followed by a memorial service at 6 pm.
